The town itself is more or less a small fishing village surrounded by a few large vacation resorts.
Located just east of La Romana and Casa de Campo it is the staring point when you go to Saona and the natural pools. The beach is fantastic and no more hotels can be built as Bayahibe is at the western tip of The East National Park. There is an underwater wall located right out side of Bayahibe with excellent diving.  |
