News
The Dominican Republic (DR) Ministry of Tourism is bringing a taste of the most fascinating and bio-diverse island nation to U.S. pilots with the DR for Pilots exhibit at the 2010 Experimental Aviation Association (EAA) event in Oshkosh, Wis., held July 26 - August 1. The second largest country in the Caribbean, top DR aviation and tourism leaders will attend this annual gathering of more than 500,000 aviation buffs in the U.S. to greet pilots, give away DR trips and provide information on its fee-free airports, rich culture and unparalleled scenery.

"With 14 modern and welcoming airports throughout the country's distinct geographic regions, the Dominican Government aims to increase private flights to the DR. Pilots will discover stunning views of coastlines, beaches, mountains, waterfalls and valleys with charming rural towns and modern cities," said Magaly Toribio, Vice Minister of International Promotion for the DR Ministry of Tourism.

"The DR for Pilots exhibit at EAA is the result of a unified effort among DR Ministry of Tourism, Dominican Airport Department, Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Aeroclubs and private sector leaders to ensure that private pilots learn how easy it is to explore our magnificent paradise,"
