Juan Dolio has nice beaches for those that like smooth waves and quiet waters. It is a very interesting palace 12 km east of Boca Chica and 20 min from Santo Domingo airport and close to the city.
Not long ago, this was one of the major tourist areas in the Dominican Republic. Now when Bayahibe and Punta Cana are becoming increasingly popular, Juan Dolio is now becoming a top spot for residential tourism. Luxurious apartments and huge complexes are being built at a very fast pace. It is a good palace to buy or rent if you want to escape the cold and maybe play some golf. Juan Dolio has two golf courses within 10 minutes driving. There are 3 major good hotels that we recommend, Talanquera, Costa Caribe and Capella that is the best of the three. Strong points for Juan Dolio are that it is close to SDQ airport and the city 45 minutes.  |
