Surrounded by the tropical environment of the Bavaro beach and integrated in the Barceló Bavaro Beach Resort, the Barceló Bávaro Convention Center is the biggest and most modern Convention Center of the Dominican Republic. It was inaugurated in October 2001.
Barceló Bávaro Convention Center counts with more than 11,500 m2 distributed in 13 conference rooms with different characteristics which are subdivided to reach a total of 24 conference rooms. The convention center has a maximum capacity of 5,000 persons.
A well trained staff, specialized in organizing spectacular events will attend you.
Staff Available to Fix Flags or Banners
Staff is available 24 hours per day to assist in setting up the conference rooms, fix flags and more. (Please advice previously)
Conference Room Set-Ups
For the main meeting with School set-up; Shape or "U", Imperial or Round table you will find a glass, bottle of water and a folder with paper and pencil in front of every seat.
If the conference room has another set-up we would put a table with glasses and water in front of the room. During the recesses and coffee breaks the water will be restocked.
The Day of Set-Up and Probe
You are able to request days of set-up and change of set-up-up of the conference rooms, additionally you will have the possibility to make all sound & audiovisual checks with our technical experts.
Availability of Furniture
The Convention Center counts with a great variety of accessories to organize conferences as well as Gala dinners.
Tables of different sizes and shapes (round, quadrate, oval etc.) Covers of different colors such as beige, beige with pattern, yellow. Ashtrays, bowls to put sweets, vase.
The Barceló Bávaro Convention Center, is equipped with a modern kitchen with the ability to prepare high quality meals for 2,500 persons in a short timeframe.
Barcelo Bavaro Convention Center offers an ample menu for it's Catering services, coffee breaks, thematic banquettes, Gala Dinners, Buffet and waiter served meals.
The services of the Convention Center are not included in the all-inclusive package and are only available with an additional charge.
Within the Barcelo Bavaro Convention Center we do have different options to set up Gala Dinners according to the number of persons and the program of the event. For small groups s 100 persons we offer the Bar Higuey, a half open area which will be nice.
Descriptions of the Furniture for Gala Dinners
Round tables of 72 inches for a maximum of 12 persons.
We do have 3 options of table covers for you to chose:
- Beige with fern pattern
The price of the decoration of the tables is included in the menu which would be a vase with fern, a candle and a mirror as a basis for the decoration.
We do have a great variety of flower decorations, nationals as well as imported. Extra charges will apply.
In the surroundings of the conference room we put palm tree imitations in the different corners and in the main entrance, as well as white sheets with candles. (you have to request previously). Extra charges will apply.
- Private Check In
A private check-in will be arranged for the group at the theather area of each hotel (dependind on the arrival time).
The envelopes will be handed by person or by room, containing keys, towel cards, and a description of all the services and activities the resort offers. This will be prepared prior the groups arrival for a quick and simple check in process.
- Welcome Banner
A welcome banner with the name of the group and the company's logo, will be elaborated to greet all the participants. This one will be located at the entrance of the hotel reception, where the participants are staying.
- Greeting with Music and Models
During the arrival time, Dominican music will be played and our models will dance to welcome the group (depending on arrival time).
- Welcome Cocktail
A welcome cocktail will be offered to all the participants during the check in.
Options: Piña colada, Fruit punch, Coco loco.
- VIP Treatment
To be placed at the VIP rooms, prior arrival, a basket of fruit and a bottle of Dominican rum.
- Gift and Correspondence Delivery for All the Participants
To deliver gifts to the rooms, before or during the stay of the participants, it is necessary to inform the sales executive. Extra charges apply.
- Wake Up Service
Wake up services can be requested for all the rooms, at one or many particular times.
Minibar inside each room its included within the All Inclusive system.
The minibar is restock daily with the clening of the rooms.

For the organization of your event we offer a Hospitality Desk that will be located in the lobby of the hotel where the participants are staing.
- Early Check In
